Meet Samantha

Hi There and Welcome!

My name is Samantha Goldrick. I’m an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) through the AASW and qualified psychosexual therapist. I specialise in providing trauma-responsive and psychosexual counselling services. I adopt a trauma-informed, strengths-based, feminist, inclusive and sexually affirming approach to my work.

Most importantly, I am client-led and work to meet you where you’re at; ensuring a clear understanding of your goals and working with you plan the best way to meet them.

I prioritise providing a safe, judgement-free space for people to share their experiences, gain greater insight into themselves and overcome challenges that may be blocking their ability to move forward in life and towards their goals.

I have over a decade’s experience working with adults who have experienced complex trauma of various forms including; domestic violence, sexual abuse, intergenerational and interpersonal traumas. I am passionate about supporting clients towards healing and becoming empowered to rise past their current challenges. Through my work with survivors, I have witnessed the many ways that traumatic situations can impact upon a person’s entire wellbeing, including their mental and physical health and sense of identity. The daily resilience it takes to not only endure but move forward in life despite having experienced extreme and confronting situations is a gift that I feel lucky to witness and walk alongside.

As a psychosexual therapist and member of the Society of Australian Sexologists, I am passionate about helping people understand the interrelationship between their mental health and sexual health and wellbeing. It’s a much more integrated experience than people realise!

For more detail about the services and areas of specialty that I can support you with, please see the Services tab.

I look forward to speaking with you soon.
